BREWER, Maine (WABI) – A fundraiser in Brewer Sunday let community members prepare for the holidays while supporting a good cause.
Generations Boutique & Art Studio partnered with Children of the Nile for their Sea Glass Resin Christmas Tree Fundraiser
Workshop attendees learned how to create resin art from sea glass and other beach treasures.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Christmas trees were the craft of choice for this fundraiser.
$10 are being donated to Daughters of the Nile for each ticket purchased.
Daughters of the Nile is a nonprofit organization that helps support Shriners Hospitals for Children through fundraisers like this one.
It’s thanks to these kinds of partnerships that community groups can support one another.
“We love that we can give back to the community, and also, every time an organization reaches out to us to host a fundraiser event, we know that they’re gonna pull in their people, their supporters, so it’s kind of a win-win,” said Generations co-founder Roxanne Noddin.
