Abbeygate Cinema in Bury St Edmunds has teamed up with Sew Much To Do to introduce Craft Club screenings, allowing visitors to enjoy a film while working on yarn or needlework projects in a relaxed environment.

The first event takes place on Sunday, July 20 at 11am, featuring Four Letters of Love, a romantic drama starring Pierce Brosnan and Helena Bonham Carter.

Gareth Boggis, general manager at Abbeygate Cinema, said: “We’ve always believed in cinema as a communal and creative experience.

“Partnering with our neighbour Sew Much To Do felt like a natural fit.

“We’re excited to welcome the local crafting community and anyone curious to join in – whether you bring a long-standing project or just want to try something new.”

Crafting fans are invited to bring along knitting, crochet, embroidery, or other quiet crafts to enjoy during the screening.

The house lights will remain ‘gently raised’ to support those working during the showing.

Tickets are available from abbeygatecinema.co.uk.
