The Christmas season is around the corner, and the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is starting to celebrate with its 55th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair and Extravaganza on Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, in Cape Girardeau.
The event, which attracts 8,000 to 10,000 people, will feature two locations for attendees to visit more than 300 food and arts and crafts vendors: one at the Show Me Center, 1333 N. Sprigg St., and the other at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway.
The fair and extravaganza is the largest fundraiser for the Arts Council, and the proceeds will go toward educating the community about the arts. Some of the programs the Arts Council provides, which align with its mission, are hosting free monthly programs at its gallery, providing arts education programming for local schools and community organizations and more.
