The availability of the new beers will rotate and change throughout the year, while further new lines have also been added across Co-op’s own-label and branded range.
This is after Co-op partnered with Fyne Ales and Robinsons to launch a brand new own-label offer – Co-op’s Munro Pale Ale. This new limited-edition pale ale will be sold in 500ml bottles, retailing at £2.50 or £2.25 for members.
Co-op is also adding two other new own-brand lines to its range – the Co-op Fairtrade IPA and Co-op Best Bitter.
“Craft beer continues to do well at Co-op, and alongside the established brands we work with, we’re thrilled to be able to partner with some of the UK’s most exciting independent craft breweries to bring their expertise and brewing credentials to our stores for our members and customers to discover,” said Co-op beer buyer Andrew Birdsey.
The news comes after it was announced that Co-op would exclusively stock a series of limited-edition beers manufactured by Toast Brewing in partnership with a range of other craft breweries.
The first beer was produced by Toast and Tiny Rebel, while future collaborations with Adnams and Northern Monk have been promised.
