A craft firm is hoping its new shop in North Walsham will help bring more people to the high street.
Ye Broads Craft Shop opened on Wednesday in Market Street in the town.
It is owned by the craft business By the Broads, which is a not-for-profit art and crafts gallery that opened in the town in April last year.

The business supports around 60 artists who rent out space to sell their handmade arts and crafts.
Selena Read, co-owner of By the Broads, said: “We had a small opening event and we’ve been very well received so far.
“We have already come up with ideas for connections with other businesses, such as the wedding shop next door.

“There is a great community among the independent businesses and I am passionate about bringing more people to North Walsham’s high street.
“There’s no empty shops and we have a great history.”
The business is also hoping to launch a newsletter to boost the local artists that it works with.

The shop is managed by Kierxn Davison, 19, who has his own craft business, Red Panda Crafts Norfolk.
He started his firm in Sprowston and has rented spaces in Beccles, Henstead, Dereham, and Norwich.
In October 2024, Mr Davison was awarded the Business in the Community Award by Broadland District Council.

He is selling his own wares, including handmade candles and diffusers, in the shop as well.
Ms Read added: “I often get involved in community meetings about local businesses and I am hoping Kierxn will too.
“Shopping should be an experience and not just pressing buttons online.
“I also want to see it across Norfolk, not just in North Walsham.”
By the Broads also offers craft workshops and encourages people to check its social media for further events at the shop and gallery.
