The holiday season is here! At least, the bazaars, craft shows and fairs and festivals are starting to kick into high gear.

Rodeo under the lights
Rocky Ridge Ranch, 4357 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, hosts “Friday Nights Under the Lights” with Calves, Cans and Poles, its first show of the 2025 season, exhibition at 5:30 p.m. and show at 7 p.m. Open and youth for ages 14 and under, poles, 3-D barrels and breakaway. $5 exhibition. $20 class. Bazaars, crafts, fairs and festivals
Holiday bazaar at Reedsville Lutheran Church, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, 200 E. Logan St., Reedsville. Work on that holiday shopping list.
Art and Craft Fest, hosted by Mifflin-Juniata Regional Services Corp. – The Care Network, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Lewistown Senior Center, 515 Knepp Ave., Lewistown. Arts and crafts on display and for purchase, as well as a basket raffle and food trucks on site. Event benefits senior centers and Centers in Motion in Mifflin and Juniata counties.
Winter Wonderland Craft and Vendor Show, hosted by Mifflin County Penn Roosevelt Camp, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Mifflin County Youth Park, 110 W. Logan St., Reedsville. Local food trucks, crafts and art vendors on site. Admission and parking is free.

Trunk or treat, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Church Hill United Methodist Church, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville.
Spirits Among Us: Ghost Stories of Lewistown, told by author and historian Forest Fisher, 2 p.m. Sunday, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown. Hear about a watery Juniata River grave and the horror lurking below in The Legend of Cotter’s Hole; learn about The Beast of Bixler’s Gap cursed by witchy connections to roam the local wilderness forever; and the tale of ghostly nighttime happenings and possible causes, disturbing Mifflin County’s Historic Courthouse in Spirits Among Us. Plus a bonus tale: Recall the tale of the missing bones of Revolutionary War General “Mad Anthony” Wayne scattered in the Kishacoquillas Valley. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted for hurricane relief.
Stone Arch Players present ‘The Hitchin’ Post’
What do you get when you take a small south Texas country store and mix in an eloping couple, a meddling mom and her secretary, a bumbling robber, a shady sheriff and a cranky old lady with a mean curveball? Of course, you get the Stone Arch Players’ comical presentation of “The Hitchin’ Post!” Catch “The Hitchin’ Post” at the Theatre in the Park, Kishacoquillas Park in Lewistown, at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16; and 2 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 10 and 17.
