
Anyone with new or gently used arts and craft supplies that they don’t intend to use can donate or trade them during the Community Art & Crafts Supply Swap from noon to 2 p.m. July 19, at Mentor Public Library’s Headlands Branch, 4669 Corduroy Road.
Those who can’t make it to the swap but still wish to donate are welcome to drop off supplies from July 14 through July 18 at the Headlands Branch, according to a news release.
Acceptable items include colored pencils, pencils, brushes, felt and craft foam, crayons, markers, construction paper, paints, sewing patterns, buttons, zippers, snaps, thread, needles, pins, bobbins, elastic, beads (sorted and in a container), jewelry-making tools, cardstock, cording, art paper, yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, rubber stamps and ink pads.
All items must be in good condition, the release stated. Items that will not be accepted for the swap include anything dirty, dusty, smoky, mildewed, toxic, or inflammable items, as well as furniture, clothing, paper or fabric scraps, electronics, and completed or partially completed personal art projects.
