Dog Aid UK, which trains assistance dogs for disabled adults, has launched an emergency appeal for funds. To help, Wolvercroft Garden Centre has generously offered its venue for a Christmas Craft Fair this Saturday, November 22, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Organiser Ann Blake said the community has already rallied behind the cause over the years — raising thousands of pounds, visiting schools, Rainbows groups and care homes, and even gaining national attention on the BBC, local radio and the front cover of Woman’s Weekly.
This week, Ann and assistance dog Snoopy visited Fordingbridge Care. She said it was emotional to see how Snoopy interacted with residents.
Ann is now hoping for a strong turnout at the craft fair to boost the charity’s urgent appeal, and shared a photo of the “amazing staff” supporting the event.
