Market Place Print Studio in Cockermouth collaborated with the Melbreak Curlew Recovery Project to create greetings cards featuring a reduction lino print of a curlew.
The cards were designed by artist Jack Fawdry Tatham, who donated a series of limited edition prints to assist the project in safeguarding curlews in the Cocker Valley and surrounding areas.
Jack, who co-founded Market Place Print Studio with his partner Emily Fairlie Baker in 2023, is a dedicated advocate for wildlife.
He said: “I’m very keen to help.
“Combining printmaking with supporting wildlife is an ideal option for me and I look forward to further collaboration with the group.”
The studio also offers printmaking and art classes, alongside producing unique designs sold from their studio shop.
David Gardiner, chair of the Melbreak Curlew Recovery Project, expressed his gratitude towards Jack’s efforts.
He said: “We are delighted to have Jack on board and his generous support is greatly appreciated.
“The lovely limited edition curlew prints have been very well received – there are just a few still available at Market Place Print Studio – and we will be selling the greeting cards at our wildlife stand at the Cockermouth and Loweswater Shows.”
