Loose fits may be trending this summer, but denim brands continue to deliver high-stretch denim to customers that want a figure-hugging fit.

DL1961’s proprietary Instasculpt technology is part of the premium denim brand’s summer collection.

“It’s a proprietary combination of fit and fabric,” Meghan Gordon, DL1961’s chief marketing officer, told SJ Denim, noting the soft stretch and breathable blend material matrix.

The Instasculpt jeans are constructed with high-retention elastane technology combined with a contoured waistband and precise pattern for fit. The technology smooths, lifts, and conforms to the wearer through the waist, bottom and thigh without losing shape. Instasculpt jean styles span the Halle straight and Bridget boot to the Bardot capri.

DL1961 applies the technology to knits as well. Instasculpt Rib is a refined, high-retention stretch knit fabrication that sculpts the wearer’s figure. “It’s like a contour-fit pattern, plus this lifting, woven stretch fabric,” Gordon said of Instasculpt Rib. “It’s the same technology; so really, you can be snatched head-to-toe.” Styles include tube tops, racer tanks, off-the-shoulder tops and more.

The sculpting garments sits alongside DL1961’s new collection influenced by “traditional summer days that blend from seaside to courtside” and DL Ultimate denim, a line of jeans made with water-efficient, botanical fibers and elastane technology.

Good American, too, planned for a shapely summer.

The size inclusive brand’s Compression Denim collection combines shapewear and jeanswear for three sculpt settings—light, super and mega—complete with gap-proof waistbands and tummy smoothing technology.

The technology is integrated into a range of styles, including palazzo and wide-leg fits, showcasing that “compression” and “sculpt” aren’t limited to skinny silhouettes.

Building off its existing fabric innovations, the Macy’s partner has now dropped its latest “wardrobe secret weapon” compression collections: Compression Body and Compression Swim. Touting “no shapewear required,” Good American says the compressive styles lift, sculpt and define the wearer’s shape with built-in support.

The Body collection comprises eight nylon and elastane scuba styles utilizing Good American’s compact, double-knit stretch fabric. Styles include strapless and halter bodysuits with hidden corsets and dresses with built-in shorts.

The Swim collection spans a zip-up one piece and two-piece separates like a square neck top, a zip-up support top and a variety of bottoms.
