Spring just began, but I’m already looking toward summer; I can practically feel the ocean breeze and taste the tangy sip of a margarita. It seems like Kate Hudson is in the same boat, having ditched her clothes in a sun-drenched Instagram post.

Ironically, the now-46-year-old Running Point actress (happy birthday, Kate!) called out “spring” in her caption, proving any time is the right time for a pool-side hangout. She bore it nearly all, showing off some side boob—a.k.a. something she said she “loves to get behind”—with the help of a sexy one-piece swimsuit, like this one from Gooseberry.

The swimmie plunged to her bellybutton, ditching side panels altogether and boasting chic twist straps. The crisp white hue beautifully boosted her radiance and reflected the sunlight, adding an elegant touch to a casual occasion. Meanwhile, a high-cut leg and slick fabric hugged her figure, offering a flattering fit.

Hudson’s separate immediately reminded me of the Gooseberry suit Jennifer Lopez wore last year aboard an Italian boat, enticing me to steal this Hollywood-loved trend ahead of hotter days. Thankfully, the confidence-boosting one-piece is still available—and it’s under $100.

While it may be a lookalike for Hudson’s timeless style, it strikes the perfect balance of coverage and skin. The super deep neck, tiny straps, high-cut leg, and ultra-cheeky back make for one head-turning look, while gold hardware makes it anything but basic.

This little number doesn’t only look good, but it makes you feel good, too. The pull-on design mimics shapewear, including sculpting features that create an hourglass silhouette. Adjustable shoulder straps also give you the perfect fit, and a double-lining protects from peek-a-boo moments. But don’t just take it from me; 1,500 shoppers gave the separate a perfect rating, calling it “sexy,” “beautiful,” and “comfortable.” Though, some suggest sizing up if you’re looking for a less-restricting fit.

While the sexy swimsuit exudes poolside elegance on its own, I’m completing the look with a Hudson-inspired Lack of Color straw hat, Longshamp orange sunnies, and most importantly, Innisfree sunscreen. All that’s left to do is make a splash.
