With autumn style in full swing, we relish all the royal sartorial choices that lie ahead of us this October.
September gave us a taste of the royal style set’s A/W vibes as we embrace the cooler weather, with highlights including Duchess Sophie’s leather trousers and Queen Letizia’s belted denim.
To welcome in the new month, the Princess of Wales made a welcome appearance at Windsor Castle alongside her husband Prince William – and looked so radiant.
Who was on our Royal Style Watch this October? Keep scrolling to find out which of the royal set delivered in the style stakes…
Princess Kate
The Princess of Wales, 42, opted for an understated look when she accompanied Prince William on a visit to Southport to privately meet bereaved families, first responders, and members of the local community impacted by the tragic knife attack in July.
Kate chose a chocolate brown Alexander McQueen coat over a Whistles burgundy polka dot dress with an added pussy bow tie. Rounding off her look was a pair of chocolate brown heels.
Duchess Sophie
The Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, looked elegant during her emotional visit to Chad. She was seen having coffee with Amina Priscille Longoh, the Minister of State for Women and Child Protection for Chad during her solo visit.
Sophie made a subtle tweak to the unexpected lime green ‘Brooke’ dress from Amanda Ross x Soler London – swapping out the crew neck for a flattering V-shaped version. She also wore a metallic belt.
Meghan Markle
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, looked splendid as she visited Girls, Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara in a pair of waist-sculpting white wide-leg trousers.
She teamed the flattering garment with the blue ‘Limited Edition Shirt in Thomas Mason Chambray’ from J. Crew and tan accessories – the ‘Square Slide Buckle Belt’ from Ralph Lauren and the Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Princess Beatrice
Princess Beatrice was understatedly elegant in raspberry pink when she headed to the Lady Garden Foundation luncheon. The pregnant royal, 36, was seen at Langan’s Brasserie in a Topshop printed dress teamed with the black ‘Mosaic Nano Bag’ from Strathberry and the berry-hued ‘Rachael’ headband from Jennifer Behr.
Princess Charlene
Princess Charlene of Monaco looked wonderful in a fitted suit when she headed to a Charles III College student competition in Monaco in partnership with The Monegasque Rugby Federation and the Princess Charlene Foundation of Monaco.
The royal’s pastel pink Crisoni ensemble was teamed with a crisp white shirt and suede pumps. Meanwhile, her hair was the longest it has been in five years – tucked effortlessly behind one ear.
Queen Mary
Queen Mary of Denmark oozed glamour in a shoulder-baring velvet gown worn to a dinner marking The American Chamber of Commerce in Denmark’s 25th anniversary at Moltke’s Palace. The ruffled asymmetrical number was paired with a yellow satin clutch and pretty half updo.
Duchess Sophie
The Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, visited the Brooklands Motor Museum in Surrey for planned contact with the International Space Station.
She wowed in a chic chocolate brown fitted blazer styled with unexpected teal trousers and her go-to Gianvito Rossi boots in brown suede to match her snakeskin clutch.
Queen Mary
Queen Mary of Denmark, 52, looked so chic during a visit to the public school Centro Educacional do Lago in Brazil. She wore a blue and white striped shirt dress from Stella Jean with a collared neckline and rolled sleeves.
She styled the day dress with tan heels and a patterned raffia belt.
