The beloved Yarmouth Sand Sculpture Trail is back for its 14th year, transforming the town into an open-air gallery of intricate sand art.

Now through mid-October, visitors can marvel at more than 30 unique sculptures crafted from 120 tons of sand, making it a must-see summer attraction for families and art enthusiasts alike.

Spearheaded by duo Sean and Tracey Fitzpatrick of Fitzysnowman Sculpting, the trail showcases their expertise in creating large-scale sand masterpieces.

Known for their work at the Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival and other notable events, the Fitzpatricks bring their artistic flair to Yarmouth, with each sculpture reflecting a blend of creativity and local charm.

The sculptures are strategically placed throughout Yarmouth, including prominent locations such as the Yarmouth Visitor Center at 424 Route 28 in West Yarmouth, Cape Cod Creamery and Taylor Bray Farm. Visitors can pick up a printed trail map at the Visitor Center or access a digital version online to guide their self-paced tour of these sandy marvels.

Adding an interactive element to the experience, the trail features a People’s Choice Award, inviting the public to vote for their favorite sculpture. Participants in the voting are entered into a drawing to win a Yarmouth getaway package valued at more than $450.

Additionally, a weekly photo contest encourages visitors to share their snapshots of the sculptures, offering another chance to win prizes.

The Yarmouth Sand Sculpture Trail not only highlights the town’s commitment to arts and culture but also provides a free activity for all ages.

As the sculptures remain on display until mid-October, there’s ample opportunity for residents and tourists to explore the intricate designs that celebrate the spirit of Cape Cod.
