Organized by Discover Art, the event spotlighted a range of South African artists, each bringing a unique perspective and style to the exhibition space.

Among the featured artists was Adri Smit, whose emotionally expressive work focuses on storytelling rather than a fixed visual approach. Her art invites personal reflection and connection, often touching on themes of healing and transformation.

In contrast, Pretoria-based Theo Gersch presented intricate ink illustrations of local architecture and urban scenes. His detailed cityscapes reflect a deep appreciation for structure and form, developed after an initial setback when he was rejected from architecture school – a moment that ultimately fueled his artistic direction.

Maggie Gey van Pittius also exhibited at the event, contributing work that added to the diverse and multi-layered tone of the evening. Alongside her, artists Inge Gijzen and Christi Chabant helped round out a thoughtful and well-curated group of exhibitors.

Guests enjoyed wine tasting by Cellar Door and meals provided by Karoo Café, which created a relaxed and engaging environment for conversation and artistic appreciation. The exhibition emphasised not only individual artistic voices but also the importance of community and support for local creatives.

More than just an art show, the event reflected Discover Art’s mission to connect people with South African artists in meaningful, accessible ways. Through this collaboration with Karoo Café and Discover Pretoria East, the evening highlighted how art can foster connection—not only between people and artworks but also within the broader creative community.
