SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Public Museum welcomed families for a morning of activities designed for kids and adults alike.
Locals were invited to explore hands-on learning opportunities, craft stations, and interactive exhibits throughout the museum. Their newest exhibit, “Telephone Pioneers of Sioux City” caught the attention of many guests. Kids were able to craft string telephones, draw candlestick telephones, and participate in an Alexander Graham Bell-themed scavenger hunt.

“It’s something that draws families into the museum,” said Connie Macfarlane, the Education Coordinator for the Sioux City Public Museum. “So while they’re doing that, whether it’s crafts, it’s something fun for the kids to do, if they’re doing a scavenger hunt, it gets them out into our museum galleries.”
The museum will host another event next month focusing around “day of the dead” holiday.
