Crafts in the Pen will return on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, transforming the cattle mart into a festive showcase of creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
This year’s market puts the spotlight on the makers themselves, with each stall hosted by the artists who designed and created the items on display.
Andy Lynan, event organiser, said: “Crafts in the Pen has always been about connection — between makers and visitors, between creativity and community.
“A decade on, we’re proud to showcase the region’s incredible talent and to give shoppers the chance to meet the people behind the work.
“When you buy from an independent maker, you support a small business, a local supply chain, and a living craft.”

Visitors can explore a diverse range of stalls featuring art, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, photography, glass, homeware, skincare, and festive decorations.
The event offers an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts and hear directly from the makers about their techniques and inspiration.
In addition to shopping, the event promises a lively, festive atmosphere.
Families can enjoy a free Santa’s Grotto, while live music from Gargrave-based vocalist Olivia Schofield will set a seasonal tone.
Two on-site cafés will offer warm refreshments, and a dedicated drinks area behind Street 1 will help ease queues.
Advance ticket holders will receive free parking, and children can take part in a ‘find the hidden word’ game for a chance to win one of three Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.
Crafts in the Pen has become a favourite event in Skipton’s winter calendar, growing over 10 years into a bustling marketplace known for its quality, affordability, and personal touch.

Mr Lynan added: “We hear the same thing every year: ‘I came for one gift and left with half my Christmas list sorted.’
“People value the chance to ask questions, commission pieces, or choose something truly personal.
“Whether it’s a hand-thrown mug, a turned oak bowl, a screen print or a knitted scarf, you leave knowing the story of who made it.”
The venue’s pen ‘streets’ will once again be transformed into a welcoming and easily navigable market.
Tickets are priced at £6, with advance tickets including free on-site parking.
