The event showcases a wide range of art, from traditional to contemporary, and includes work by artists, makers and designers based in Dorset.

Participants will open their homes, studios, workshops, galleries and other venues—some with views of the coast and countryside—to visitors.

Many artists will be on hand to discuss their creative process, materials and inspirations with members of the public.

A free printed guide will be available and is popular with arts enthusiasts and visitors keen to explore Dorset’s creative scene.

Artists and makers wishing to take part can now register on the Dorset Art Weeks website.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, December 10.
