This holiday shopping season, organizers are asking shoppers to skip the big-box rush and celebrate creativity close to home at the 2025 Avon Winter Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show. The event takes place Saturday, November 29 from 10 a.m. t 4 p.m. at the Emerald Event Center, 33040 Just Imagine Dr., Avon, OH 44011.

Held during Black Friday weekend and on Small Business Saturday, this one-day handmade market is designed to spotlight Northeast Ohio artisans and offer shoppers a meaningful, stress-free alternative to mass-produced gifts, say organizers. Attendees will browse a curated selection of local artists and crafters, showcasing everything from home décor, jewelry, and fine art to holiday items, accessories, gourmet treats, and more.

Admission is $3 and children under 12 are free. A full concessions stand will also be available on site, provided by the venue.

A portion of event proceeds will benefit The Haven Home, a local nonprofit supporting women and families in need, adding a charitable component that allows shoppers to give back while they shop.

This annual show is not only a holiday shopping destination, but also a community celebration of local talent and small business entrepreneurship, organizers said.

“Black Friday weekend is usually all about big stores and long lines, but our Avon Winter Show offers something different – a place where shoppers can slow down, meet the makers behind the products, and support small businesses on one of the most important weekends of the year,” Becki Silverstein, founder of the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows, said in a press announcement. “Our community loves discovering meaningful gifts you can’t find anywhere else, and we’re excited to welcome both new and returning artists to kick off the holiday season.”

The show is currently accepting vendors up till the Wednesday prior to the event. To apply or learn more about the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows, visit www.avantgardeshows.com.
