The National Maritime Museum Cornwall (NMMC) in Falmouth is set to host two marine-themed festive workshops.
The activities, which include wreath making and linocut printmaking, offer participants a chance to create unique decorations to take home.
On Saturday, November 29, from 2pm to 4.30pm, Angela from the Cornish Wreath Maker will run a Cornish Coast Path Wreath workshop.
The workshop will utilise a variety of items, including sustainably foraged and home-grown botanicals, and shoreline finds like seaweeds, shells, sea grasses, cones, driftwood, sea glass, and berries.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring along shells and sea glass from their own collections to personalise their creations further.
Participants will have the chance to craft their own unique wreath to take home, with all materials provided.
On Saturday, December 13, from 2pm to 5pm, local printmaker and ecologist, Layla Ousley, will lead a beginner-friendly linocut printmaking workshop.
Inspired by the sea and coastal wildlife, the session will teach attendees the basics of image transfer and hand burnishing.
Using a tabletop press, participants will be able to create their own postcard-sized prints to take home.
The charge for each workshop is £50 per person.
The fee includes refreshments, materials, and entry to the museum for the day.
Both workshops are open to all, regardless of previous crafting experience.
