A showcase of student creativity will be taking place across the west of Scotland this month.
The University of the West of Scotland’s (UWS) arts and media showcase will run from May 8 to 21, with a programme of public events in Glasgow, Paisley, and Ayr, highlighting the work of emerging talent across film, music, graphic arts, broadcasting, and performance.
For the first time, the showcase will take a multi-venue approach, offering a wider audience the chance to experience the breadth of creative output from UWS arts and media students.
Events will include film screenings, live performances, exhibitions, live music, student broadcasts and awards, all celebrating the innovation and ambition of the university’s creative community.

Dr Clare Duffin, lecturer and programme leader for MA Music at UWS, said: “This year’s Arts and Media Showcase is especially exciting because it gives us the chance to share our students’ work more widely across the west of Scotland.
“Running in Ayr, Glasgow and Paisley throughout May, the programme reflects both the range of creative practice at UWS and the depth of talent within our student community.
“It’s particularly special this year because we get to celebrate 25 years of our BA (Hons) Commercial Music programme – a milestone that reflects the legacy and impact of music education at UWS.
“And what better way to recognise everything our students have achieved than to showcase the next generation of creative talent as they prepare to make their mark in the industry.”
Full details of the programme and ticket information are available on the UWS website.
