WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) – A long-vacant warehouse in Westwood is being transformed into a new hub for local artists, with plans for studios, classes, and gallery space.

The warehouse, on Stathem Avenue around the corner from the DORA District on Harrison Avenue, is set to become the Apropos Art Society, a visual art center.

Plans for the building include eight artist studios, a classroom for public workshops, and an art gallery. The owners said they are working with an architect and a contractor to convert the vacant former plumbing warehouse into art spaces.

The owners expect the Apropos Art Society to open by the end of the year.
