UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Arts and Architecture announced the recipients of its student awards for the 2025-26 academic year at its annual spring awards ceremony in April.
Reuben and Gladys Golumbic Scholarship
The Reuben and Gladys Golumbic Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships given in the college, and recognizes students in the areas of design achievement, humanistic achievement and performance achievement. The scholarship was established by Penn State alumnus Ed Eckl in memory of his adoptive parents. This year’s recipients are:
Design Achievement: Maeve Gorham
Gorham is a third-year bachelor of fine arts student in theatre design and technology with an emphasis in sound design, from Dobbs Ferry, New York. Some of her recent credits include sound design for “Alice in Wonderland,” sound design for “The Morris & Essex Line,” and A1 for “Crazy for You.” In her free time, Gorman is the Penn State chapter president of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, as well as a production coordinator for Movin’ On.
Performance Achievement: Olivia Allen
Allen is a third-year musical theater major from Louisville, Kentucky. She has performed in many Penn State Centre Stage productions, including “Love’s Labour’s Lost” as Jaquenetta, “Urinetown” as Little Sally and in the “Crazy for You” ensemble while understudying Patsy. This past summer, Allen worked professionally playing Little Inez in “Hairspray” at Theatre By The Sea.
Performance Achievement: Anna Prezioso
Prezioso is a third-year music education major from the Pittsburgh area. She performs extensively at Penn State, including solo appearances in every bassoon studio recital, and as a member of the Penn State Bassoon Ensemble, Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Broomstick Bassoon Quartet. Prezioso also is the founder and president of the Penn State Bassoon Club, fostering mentorship and community among student musicians.
Humanistic Achievement: Jimmy Hunter
Hunter is a third-year bachelor of fine arts student majoring in acting. They are heavily involved in the School of Theatre community as an Acting cohort representative, Student Diversity Committee board member, and the current creative director of “Radical Joy,” a student cabaret held each semester. They have been seen in Penn State Centre Stage productions of “Antigone,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “John Proctor is the Villain,” and “Tartuffe.”
Humanistic Achievement: Will Donnelley
Donnelley is a third-year Landscape Architecture major whose interest in ecological processes drives his desire to consider humans, plants and animals equally in his designs. His work consistently incorporates grassland ecology and native plants. He is an active member of the Outings and Horticulture clubs and has served as a counselor for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center’s Outdoor School.
