Attention, art lovers: “Sculpting Landscapes: The Art of Eunkyung Jeon” opens on May 9 and will run through June 16 at the Guam Museum Café Gallery in Hagåtña.

In this art exhibit, artist Eunkyung Jeon, also known as Julie So, explores the relationship between painting and sculpture through textured semi-abstracted landscapes, inspired by spiritual gratitude and Guam’s natural beauty.

Through the incorporation of familiar forms, she seeks to connect the audience to her work, while showing the expressive and interpretive qualities of abstract art.

The solo show’s opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.

The Guam Museum is open from Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
