Wacom unveiled the Art Pen 2, a digital stylus designed around rotation-sensitive input for drawing and illustration workflows. The pen supports 360-degree barrel rotation alongside tilt and pressure detection, allowing compatible software to respond to how the stylus is turned during use. Wacom said the feature is intended to replicate the behavior of flat brushes, markers, and calligraphy tools in digital environments. The Art Pen 2 includes three programmable buttons, battery-free EMR technology, and 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The stylus ships with a Carbon Shaft POM nib installed and supports additional POM and felt nib options designed specifically for the Art Pen 2 platform. Wacom integrated a built-in nib holder inside the barrel that stores three spare tips. Compatibility currently includes devices such as the Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14, Wacom Intuos Pro lineup, and select Wacom Cintiq models, with additional Cintiq Pro support planned later this year.
