Tirupati: A month-long Summer Arts and Crafts Camp is being conducted successfully at Shilparamam from May 1 to May 31, with the aim of creating awareness and appreciation for arts and crafts among children and young students. The camp has received a good response from both students and parents, with nearly 90 students taking part in various creative activities.
The camp offers basic training in terracotta pot making, Kuchipudi dance, drawing and painting, along with other cultural and craft-related activities. Experienced instructors and artists are guiding the participants during the sessions held daily from 9 am to 1 pm. Shilparamam Administrative Officer (Cultural Activities) K Khader Valli said the camp was planned to encourage children to explore traditional and contemporary art forms while developing creativity and interest in Indian arts and crafts heritage.
He said the programme is also helping students understand the importance of preserving cultural traditions for future generations. It has become an active platform for children to learn new skills, interact with others and spend their summer holidays in a creative and meaningful way.
