Works completed by a quartet of artists during a course at a print study centre in Suffolk are now being exhibited.
Diane Budd, Suzie Battersby, Rob Mills and Hannah Chivers all completed the one year Curwen Certificate Course in Fine Art Printmaking, with their art now being exhibited at the Curwen Print Study Centre in Bury Road, Great Thurlow, near Haverhill, until August 25.
Diane, whose work explores wildlife and landscape, said: “It’s been a whirlwind of a year, learning technique after technique in a well-structured course.

“I have been greatly impressed by the range of specialist equipment that enables any printmaker to indulge in their creativity, and which has certainly helped broaden my horizons and revitalised my art.
“It has been a great privilege to work alongside three other wonderfully creative artists for a whole year, to learn and be inspired by each other.
“I feel a greater sense of freedom to explore new avenues of expression and am excited to get back to my own studio.

“In addition to the course I have been volunteering in the archive which is the perfect opportunity to get to know, and be inspired by, the artists that have been a part of Curwen’s Illustrious past, and to make this special resource available to all.”
Suzie’s art reflects her interest in everyday objects and nature, while Rob explores the fallibility of human existence and Hannah’s work features elements from the landscape and natural world.
The exhibition is free and open 10am to 4pm weekdays.
