Swindon Paint Fest: 2025 date and location details revealed

Founded by Artsite, Swindon Paint Fest is a vibrant and family-friendly event that brings the town to life with large-scale mural creation, live painting, exhibitions, workshops, music and more.

Previous years have seen over 50 artists from Swindon and around the world come together to create beautiful sights in the town.

Several large-scale murals from previous years, such as those on Stanley Street and outside the Wyvern Theatre, still stand in Swindon today and have become arguably the most ‘Instagram-able’ buildings in town.

Now the festival is set to return to the streets of Swindon on Saturday, August 30.

“It’s going to be a great day of celebration and showcasing talent.

“The main hub of activity will be in and around Theatre Square and Regent Circus, with even more locations and exciting plans to be announced soon.

“Expect a vibrant mix of live painting, creative workshops, music, and entertainment, all aimed at bringing the community together and highlighting the incredible local talent that makes Swindon shine.”

The majority of activities will take place at Artsite and Rudi’s Bar, which will host live painting, workshops, activities and music events in the daytime and into the evening.

This year the festival will also be collaborating with local schools, youth projects and community groups to help make art in Swindon as accessible as possible.

While the official schedule of events has yet to be released, festival organisers are now looking for local business sponsors, who should get in touch via swindonpaintfest@gmail.com.

“We’ve had so much positive feedback from visiting artists on how welcome they were made to feel in Swindon, which was incredible,” said organisers of the festival in 2024.

“The murals around town have brought so much joy and positivity to our lives. We can’t wait to add to this.”
