The Branksome Craft House in The Triangle is the Bournemouth Echo’s pub of the week.
At the end of 2024, the pub, formerly Brewhouse and Kitchen, had a £120,000 refresh and was renamed as a nod to its original name “The Branksome Arms”.

Almost one year in, the team is keen to ensure that the pub is inclusive and open for everyone.
Even regulars might not realise that behind the doors of the High Street pub and to the rear is an impressive sun trap garden, suitable for food and drinks in all weather, year round.
General manager Jack Aldridge said: “A lot of people still don’t know we’re here.
“We’ve got a lot of people coming in saying they feel safe – at some other pubs girls don’t feel comfortable, and LGBTQ+ people don’t feel safe.

Deckchairs, booths, a fire pit and picnic tables can be found in the rear alongside a table tennis table, with a cosy bar and modern finish inside. As Jack says, it’s got “old pub spirit within a modern feel”.
The menu offers smash burgers, including “The Mac Daddy” and “BBQ Pit Beast”, with toppings including macaroni cheese, cheese and onion rings, dirty waffle fries, veggie burgers and a children’s menu.
In the school holidays, families can have their children eat for free with them, something that will return when the summer break hits.

The pub also has a number of deals during the week, including a smash burger, fries and pint for £12.95 on a Monday alongside quiz night, beginning at 8.30pm.
On weekends, the pub still dabbles in the pub classics with roast dinners served from midday.
Staff at the Branksome Craft House are also eager to share their skills. Masterclasses in craft beers, rums, gins and whisky pairing are available, which are often popular with groups of friends, parties and family gatherings.
The Branksome Craft House is open Monday to Wednesday 11am-11pm, Thursday 11am- midnight, Friday and Saturday 11am to 1am and Sunday midday to 11pm.
