On the Craft and Cleaver website, they share that the restaurant began with a road trip through “America’s barbecue meccas – Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and the Deep South.”

Adding that the spark that began the Hitchin spot came from a “wild night” in Kansas City when they were “surrounded by passionate pitmasters, tequila shots, and craft beer.”

Craft and Cleaver share that they smoke all of their meats 24/7 on site using hickory wood in smokers that were imported from Oklahoma.

The smokers help create a “delicate, unrivalled smoke flavour” that’s loved and praised by guests.

The menu at Craft and Cleaver offers a wide range of items, like the made-for-two BBQ Trays with the Pitmaster for £70 and the Texas Tray for £64.

For mains, guests can enjoy the likes of Beef Brisket Burnt Ends (£25), which is, 225g Of Tender Beef Brisket Burnt Ends, served With Smokehouse Fries, Garlic Butter Texas Toast, Maple Whiskey Pit Beans, Candied Chillies and House Pickles.
