Aurora Artisan Crafts opens at Milford Haven Marina

Aurora Artisan Crafts is set to open at 3 Vanguard House Milford Haven Waterfront this Saturday, February 28.

The brand-new shop is the creation of Rhiannon Stephens who has returned to her native Pembrokeshire after three years living away.

Rhiannon has been creating art and craft works, as well as useful handmade items, and selling them online via Facebook and Etsy for the last five years.

When she moved back to Pembrokeshire the perfect opportunity to open a shop showcasing all her work arose at Milford Waterfront and she snapped it up.

Aurora Artisan Crafts will sell a variety of goods, all handmade by Rhiannon including jewellery, stained glass sun catchers and stand-alone pieces, pet portraits and reusable eco-friendly cloth pads and wipes, including period pads.

Rhiannon has given the shop a fresh lick of paint, brightening everything up, and installed display cabinets with LED strip lighting.

She also created and installed the shops’ exterior sign herself.

“This is something I have been dreaming of for a while,” said Rhiannon. “It all seemed to come together at once.”

Everything in the shop is hand made by Rhiannon who has loved crafting, sewing, drawing and painting since childhood.

She has managed to turn her passion into a successful online business and hopes that the shop will provide another outlet for her talents and passions.

She has a workshop area in the shop so will continue to craft while looking after customers.

Rhiannon says that she is delighted to be back in Pembrokeshire after some time away.

“I missed the people and the community feel,” she said. “It is back with friends and family.”

She said that the initial response to the new shop had been good.

“A few people have come in already and they have been really lovely,” she said.

“The other shop owners here have been really supportive. They said the shop looks nice, which is nice to hear.”

Rhiannon plans to lay on drinks and nibbles for her opening event which will be attended by friends and family as well as new customers.

Aurora Artisan Crafts will be open from 10am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday at 3 Vanguard House, Milford Haven Waterfront.
