Moorforge Viking Settlement, which is located at Gilcrux near Wigton, has announced that its popular crafts festival will return on May 2, May 3, and May 4 in 2026.
Although more details are set to be confirmed in due course, the settlement has announced that the upcoming festival will once again feature ‘ancient and modern crafters’ as well as their popular folk music night.
Writing on social media, Moorforge Viking Settlement said: “We are delighted to announce that the Annual Moorforge Craft festival, will be back for another edition for 2026 Beltane weekend.
“With more developments at the Moorforge site and things to see.
“There will be more ancient and modern crafters here giving demonstrations, and displaying their wonderful hand crafted items for sale, this gives you the opportunity to speak with, learn and see how they forge their crafts in person. ”
