Next week the popular craft-a-long cinema event is returning to Frinton Golf Club on October 8, at 1.30pm.
Attendees can watch The Greatest Showman and meet like-minded crafters while working on their own craft activities or trying something from the craft table.
Anyone who wishes to attend must pay a £2.50 deposit, which will then cover tea and coffee on the day.
A spokesperson for the event said: “This was a big success in March bringing people together with craft activities which is a great activity for mindfulness and meeting people to help with loneliness in the winter months.”
The event has been funded by Tendring Council and the government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
On Saturday, October 25, Frinton Crafts will host a craft destash event at the Free Church, combining crafting with sustainability.
The event will run from 10am to 12pm, offering pre-loved craft resources at bargain prices.
Last year, the event featured 12 tables of various craft materials, including fabric, wool, patterns, and paper crafts.
Attendees can either find a new craft to try or top up their existing supplies.
Meanwhile Essex Knitters and Stitchers are currently making poppies in preparation for Remembrance Day in November.
They are asking anyone in the area to contribute by making poppies and dropping them off at Frinton Library to create a larger community display celebrating 80 years since VE Day.
The group also aims to make a much larger community display if they receive enough poppies.
