Tullamore’s Alan Bolton will be the only Irish artist exhibiting at NFC Lisbon 2026 this June

Offaly 3D surrealist artist Alan Bolton will present his own solo exhibition booth at NFC Lisbon 2026 this June.

He will be the only Irish artist among more than 30 international exhibitors at the esteemed event which is one of Europe’s most prominent NFT and digital art conferences.

NFC Lisbon will take place from June 4th to 6th at Unicorn Factory, Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, Lisbon.

The conference brings together the world’s leading digital artists, collectors, galleries, and Web3 innovators for three days of exhibitions, talks, and live experiences.

The prestigious event will represent the largest solo platform of Alan’s career to date where he will be showcasing both digital works and fine art prints.

NFC Lisbon 2026 will also mark the first time during Alan’s distinguished career that he will present physical prints alongside digital editions at a live show.

From the Midlands to the international stage

Alan, originally from Tullamore, has been working full-time as a digital artist since 2020, building an international career rooted in surreal and abstract animation and still-image art.

Rendered using Blender and AI tools, his hyper-realistic works explore dreamlike worlds suspended between the familiar and the impossible, drawing on the visual language of classic surrealists such as Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, reimagined through the lens of modern 3D technology.

Now based in Lisbon, Portugal. Alan has steadily built one of the most distinctive bodies of work in the Irish digital art scene.

His pieces are available to collect on both the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, and his collaborations have reached far beyond the art world.

He has completed three music and art projects with Grammy-nominated DJ and producer deadmau5 and his record label hau5trap, as well as a landmark digital art collection with Manchester City FC.

One of the first collaborations of its kind between a Premier League club and an independent digital artist.

A landmark year of international exhibitions

2025 and 2026 have been among the most active exhibition years of Alan’s career.

In December 2025, he exhibited at Context Art Miami, one of the most prestigious art fairs in the United States, held annually during Miami Art Week, where he presented exclusive new digital works to an international audience of collectors and curators.

That momentum has continued into 2026. In February, Alan featured in Screens Contextualized at Miyashita Park in Tokyo, Japan, and Le Temps Revient presented by Artverse in Paris, France.

In March, he exhibited at the NODE Foundation in Palo Alto, California. Each appearance has expanded his reach into new collector markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.

NFC Lisbon: A new chapter

NFC Lisbon 2026 marks a significant milestone for Alan in several ways. As the sole Irish artist with a dedicated exhibition booth at the conference, he will represent Ireland on a stage that attracts collectors, curators, and digital art enthusiasts from across the globe.

The booth will feature a curated selection of Alan’s digital works, displayed on a 4K screen, presenting his animated pieces, immersive, looping works that bring his surrealist scenes to life.

Alongside the screen, a selection of fine art prints will be displayed and available for sale. Marking the first time Alan has presented physical prints at a live exhibition.

The decision to introduce prints reflects a natural evolution in Alan’s practice. “I’ve always believed my work could exist beyond the screen,” says the Tullamore native.

He added: “Prints feel like the right next step, bringing the same visual world I’ve built digitally into something people can hold, frame, and live with.”

Alan’s appearance at NFC Lisbon 2026 will represent another monumental achievement in the Offaly artist’s exceptional rise within the digital art industry.
