Craft fairs of the Ozarks celebrate the creativity of Arkansans

Today at 7:00 p.m.

The Wishing Spring’s Arts and Crafts Festival is one of the two events that Artisan Alliance hosts to promote art education within the community and to raise funds for scholarships that are awarded annually to regional high school students. At this craft festival will also be live music and demonstrations by local artists.

When Blanche Elliott and a few of her friends started gathering on the front porch and living room of her home in the 1950s to show off their homespun crafts, it was simply a way for the women to showcase their artistry and share time together.
