ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) – More than 100 vendors will have booths at the Ruth Butler building at the U.P. State Fairgrounds for the 2nd EscanaBOO Craft and Vendor Festival.
Organizer Kathleen Blanchard says crafters, artists, bakers and other vendors will have books, jewelry and handcrafted items just in time for holiday gifts.
Blanchard says there will be plenty for the kiddos to do, including a scavenger hunt and costume contests for all ages.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center in Escanaba.
“We like to raise money for their after-school kids program,” Blanchard said. “They provide a safe place to play and hang out and do games, and whatever else sports for kids from 4th to 12th grade. I’m really passionate about making sure that we donate to them to.”
The show will also have eats from Trenary‘s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ, vendor baked goods and coffee from veteran-owned Sailor Taylor’s Coffee Co. out of Marquette.
The craft show starts Friday at 3 p.m. and goes to 7 p.m. Saturday. The doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. There’s a $2 entry fee and kids under 10 years old get in free.
