
The Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom is preparing for a vibrant cultural celebration as the Ghana@68 Independence Arts & Crafts Exhibition is scheduled from March 6 to 9, 2025. This event aims to honour Ghana’s rich artistic heritage, featuring an array of traditional crafts and performances.
The exhibition will commence at the Lighthouse Theatre on March 6 and 7, operating from 6 PM to 10 PM each evening, with an entry fee of £20. Attendees can look forward to displays of leatherworks, paintings, Kente weaving, and cultural performances, providing a comprehensive showcase of Ghanaian artistry.
On March 8, the festivities will continue with the Ghana Independence Concert at Indigo at The O2. The concert promises an electrifying night of music and dance, featuring performances by renowned artists such as R2Bees, King Paluta, and Olive The Boy. Tickets for this event are available for £60.
The celebration will conclude on March 9 at the Broadwater Farm Community Centre, with another arts and crafts showcase from 6 PM to 10 PM, also priced at £20 per entry.
This series of events not only highlights Ghana’s creative industries but also fosters cultural exchange within the diaspora.
