Her practice interlaces feminist narratives and material culture with lace-making at its core. Through transforming traditional techniques into sculptural and domestic objects, her work examines female desire and submission, foregrounding Asian women’s stories and feminist spatial imaginaries.

In The Hidden Drawer, Li reimagines vintage cutlery by turning it into finely rendered lace sculptures, housed within antique presentation boxes. Objects typically associated with domestic ritual are subtly reconfigured, their familiarity giving way to a quiet sensual charge. Through this shift, Li reveals the latent intimacy embedded within the everyday, proposing an alternative way of perceiving desire – one that is instinctive, subjective, delicate. £1,750 + fee if applicable

Juli is an Edinburgh-based artist and maker who hand-cuts and engraves recycled and discarded glass to create joyful assemblages. Born and raised in Costa Rica, Juli moved to Scotland in 2011 to do her MFA at the Edinburgh College of Art.

Wee Birds – Pajaritos is a series of 11 tropical birds with a “Scottish accent”. ‘I am driven by the use of locally foraged waste materials, imprinted by the lush surroundings of my childhood on a mango farm. My methodology is rooted in gumption, play and creative problem-solving, reimagining these materials into mythical creatures. This project serves as a vehicle to share the silent stories held within these objects.’

‘The inspiration for this project is rooted in the belief that all materials are sentient, challenging the complete disregard usually reserved for waste. My work emphasises our over consumption habits, our connection to the planet and human’s intrinsic need for beauty. Through my work I want to invite the audience to delve into a magical world of second chances, where waste material is the starting point.’ £4,800 per work + fee if applicable
