Themes of Rent still resonate after 3 decades, say those behind Windsor production

The renowned rock musical Rent is in the middle of a run at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Windsor.Chris Rabideau, artistic director and president of the Arts Collective Theatre (ACT), said audience reviews so far have been positive.”People are leaving crying, in a good way,” he said. “There’s so much emotion in the show, what a celebration of life and humanity.”The show debuted on Broadway in 1996, and tackles themes of love and humanity against the backdrop of a high cost of living.
