Kolbus UK has been appointed the UK agent for the complete Graphicart product range of bindery automation systems from Pedrengo, Italy-based post-press equipment manufacturer Solema.
Kolbus UK will supply sales, services and spare parts for the bindery division, including robotic and cobotic palletising and de-palletising systems, along with packing machines.
Commencing on 1 January 2026, Kolbus UK will support existing UK Solema customers from its site in Hockliffe, Leighton Buzzard, along with generating new and growing existing business.
Kolbus UK managing director Greg Bird said: “We are excited to be representing Solema graphic arts automation systems.
“Their equipment dovetails well with the range of bindery equipment we already represent and will enable us to offer a comprehensive sales, service, and spare parts service to UK customers.”
Luca Parsani, Solema managing director, said the company was excited to start working alongside Kolbus UK on new UK projects.

Kolbus highlighted Solema’s Pluton range of automatic palletisers, Omega robot and cobot palletiser arms and Box packaging and cartoning equipment as being well-known in the UK.
Solema’s graphic arts division offers machines and technology for the automation in bindery and logistic support of production processes, with over 40 years’ experience developing conveyor systems and end of the line automation for binderies.
Munich-headquartered investment group Max Valier Holding took over Kolbus in 2024, which resulted in restructuring at the firm. Kolbus UK is a subsidiary of Kolbus Group.
