An oil painting depicting former President Donald Trump after the assassination attempt at the Butler Farm Show grounds on July 13 was judged the Best In Show among 113 art pieces submitted by local artists at the Norwin Art League’s recent 48th Annual Art Exhibition.

Laura Bell won for her painting of Trump, titled “Saved By Grace.” It shows Trump, with blood flowing down from the wound on the right side of his face, with someone from the Secret Service.

The exhibit ran from Oct. 3 to 5 in Irwin and featured a historical display of artwork and clips from the art league’s 70 years of existence.

The other winners were:

• People’s Choice: Eileen McHugh for “Eileen’s Cottage” (oil painting)

• Open Oils, Acrylics: 1st place — Manjushree Roy for “Canvas” (oil on paper); 2nd place — Patricia Vaughn for “Ohio Pyle” (oil)

• Miniatures: 1st place — Janet Schullo for “Aurbuba Sunset” (6-inch-by-6 inch)

• Amateur All Media: 1st place — Robert Zanella for “Abstract #23” (mixed media); 2nd place — Laura Bell for “The Bear”

• Open Watercolor and Mixed Media: 1st place — Louetta Romanchak for “Waterfalls” (fabric); 2nd place: Mike Keim for “Forest Stream” (watercolor)

• Adult Students Advanced All Media: 1st place — Paula Weiss for “Water Lily” (watercolor); 2nd place — Amy Greenaway for “Wake Up Call” (acrylic); 3rd place — Mary Lonzo for “Lake Erie Sunset” (oil) .

• Adult Students Beginners All Media: 1st place — Henry Ereth for “Secluded Cottage” (watercolor); 2nd place: Lois Stepansky for “Golden Sunflowers” (watercolor)

• Photography: 1st place: Mary Beth Ponitz for “One Starry Night” ; 2nd place — Keith Szekely for “Three’s Company”

Lynn Armbrust, owner of Greensburg Art Supply, judged the art exhibition.
