The Broadway Arts Festival will take place from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 15, and will feature more than 90 events.

The festival will kick off with artBEAT on the village green over the first weekend, showcasing the work of some of Britain’s top artists, printmakers, sculptors, jewellers, ceramicists, designer-makers, and a host of traditional artisans.

There will also be live music throughout the festival, with performances from the Harp & Flute Duo Favola, Peter Gill and the Goodtime Charlies, The Signatures, Lance Ellington and Alison Jiear, and a Jazz Supper Club with street food to celebrate the end of the festival.

Outdoor theatre will also be a key feature of the festival, with the Mikron Theatre Company performing a play on the village green about the Bletchley Park codebreakers.

There will also be a family day on Saturday, June 14, with a whole day of children’s workshops including make your own tie dye t-shirt, have a go on a potter’s wheel, cycle-delic spin painting, clay sculpture, and cyanotype printmaking.

The festival will also feature a number of interesting speakers, including Sunday Times Bestseller Wendy Joseph KC, who will be talking about her experiences as a High Court Judge and some fascinating cases.

There will also be over 30 different creative workshops for all abilities and ages, including jewellery design, ceramics, glass, painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and willow-weaving.

The festival will conclude with The Great Broadway Paint-Off & Portrait Paint-Off on Thursday, June 15, where talented artists from across the country will spend the day painting around the village competing for prizes.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “This will be 10 days of the most diverse, creative and entertaining events the festival has ever presented.”

Tickets for all the events are on sale through the website at broadwayartsfestival.com.
