The London Original Print Fair might be London’s longest running art fair – celebrating its 41st edition this year – but that doesn’t stop it from innovating year on year. “More and more contemporary artists are turning to printmaking, bringing it into their practice,” says Helen Rosslyn, Director of the London Original Print Fair since 1987. “As a result, the print collector market is growing. It is an exciting time to get into this space, if you’re not already in it!”
The London Original Print Fair runs from 14th-17th May 2026, at Somerset House, with new collaborations and exhibitors. Highlights include:
• Jeremy Fry: Unlimited. The series of works made as an ‘art for all’ exercise in the 1960s by industrialist, philanthropist and member of the West Country chocolate dynasty, was a huge success for the 3 short years of its life. Jeremy’s sons Cosmo and Francis will display and discuss the project, which involved 8 leading artists of the day and became, instead of Unlimited, a very limited collection.
• PALMER | SUTHERLAND: Revelation and Rediscovery. Abbott & Holder stages an exhibition comparing these great artists of the Romantic and Neo-Romantic periods.
• Ken Kiff mini print retrospective, courtesy of Hales Gallery and the Ken Kiff Estate. The artist who so informed Tracey Emin’s use of colour dedicated 50% of his practice to printmaking.
• Craigie Aitchison centenary installation by Advanced Graphics (Aitchison was born 1926).

Energy
Helen’s daughter Alice St Clair, head of new business, says: “There’s a huge energy in the print sector at the moment. It’s the obvious choice for times like these, when the market is uncertain and one can still acquire works by old and new masters within the affordable range that prints offer.”
The London Original Print Fair, which has grown from just 16 exhibitors in 1985 to the 40+ it now hosts, is celebrated for championing the print form, with an international roster of exhibitors who show work that straddles the centuries. Recent recruits to the Fair include institutions such as Tate, Hepworth Wakefield and Whitechapel Gallery; old master dealers Jette Fine Art and Elizabeth Harvey-Lee; studios such as Atelier Le Grand Village, Artichoke Print workshop, Graphic Studio Dublin and North London Printmakers; and a strong international representation, including India Printmaker House, Contemporary Tokyo, Norwegian gallery Trykkeriet and The Muban Educational Trust, which promotes contemporary Chinese woodblock printing.
