The Museum at Santa Fe Depot was full of art lovers and artists last week as Gainesville Area Visual Arts hosted its 12th Annual For the Love of Art.
More than 30 GAVA members had art on display to purchase, and 52 pieces were sold at the Feb. 7 event.
Funds raised go toward GAVA’s annual scholarship program, which helps students who are either majoring or minoring in a form of visual art. Close to $5,000 was raised at this year’s event.
Applications are now open for the 2025 scholarship and will close March 3. All Cooke County graduating high school seniors are eligible, whether they attend public school, private school or are home-schooled.
