Rose Cook’s journey to Visual Feast
Cook moved to Birmingham in 2025, but she has been professionally creating art since 1986, according to the gallery’s website.
After beginning her career in sales and marketing, she decided to start her own company to sell handmade jewelry designed for comfort as well as style. What started as a one-woman show eventually grew to have four sales representatives and two people working in manufacturing.
She began painting 15 years after she started her business. Cook’s work focuses on abstracts and floating images, and the result is creations with “interesting colors, a sense of movement and visual textures,” her website says.
“I believe that art is an important expression of personal environment and style. It must be embraced emotionally, and it must meet the owner’s design objectives and personality. I want buyers who are enthusiastic about my limited edition, one-of-a-kind pieces. I want the purchaser to have the same joy that the paintings gave me when I created them.”
