MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – McLain’s Painting Service brought roughly 75 volunteers to John 316 Outreach Ministries Saturday morning for its annual “Painting with a Purpose” event.
The company has run the program for a decade, selecting one local nonprofit each year to receive a free paint job.
Employees, spouses, children and parents showed up to transform the space.
Matt Hall with McLain’s Painting said the work holds a deeper meaning.
“Paint is paint, but paint also restores hope,” Hall said. “And that is the goal here — to create a space, a safe haven for the people, the men and women that John 316 Outreach Ministries helps here in the Maryville area.”
Hall said part of the mission is to teach the next generation the value of giving back. His eight-year-old daughter Adeline was on-site at 6 a.m. Her favorite part was painting.
